Size guide

Our size chart is provided as a general reference to help you better understand how we determine sizes listed on the website.

However, because vintage sizing often differs from modern sizing standards, we strongly recommend relying on the exact measurements provided in each product listing rather than size labels alone.

For the most accurate fit, please compare the listed measurements with a similar garment you already own.

How we measure

All measurements are taken manually in centimeters while the garment is laid flat (“flat lay measurements”).

Measurements shown in product descriptions are half measurements (half circumference).

For example:

 • Bust:  measured from armpit to armpit
 • Waist: measured across the narrowest part
 • Hips: measured across the widest part
 • Length: measured from top to bottom

To calculate full circumference, simply multiply the measurement by 2.

Please allow a possible difference of 1–3 cm due to manual measuring.

Vintage sizing

Vintage sizing may differ significantly from modern international sizing standards.

Because of this:

 • tagged sizes may not reflect the actual fit
 • some items may fit smaller or larger than expected
 • fit may vary depending on fabric, stretch and garment cut

The size listed on our website is our best modern size estimate based on measurements and overall fit.

Recommendation

For the best fit:

 1. Take a garment that fits you well
 2. Lay it flat on a surface
 3. Compare its measurements with the ones provided in our listing

This is the most accurate way to determine sizing when purchasing vintage clothing online.
